Max Veenhuyzen is a food, drink and travel journalist and photographer that lives on Whadjuk Nyoongar Country in Perth, Western Australia. He has been Gourmet Traveller’s West Australian editor since 2010. In addition to his work as a journalist, Max also co-wrote the Burnt Ends cookbook with fellow West Australian product, Dave Pynt. He also hosts and MCs dinners and events around Australia; has organised food and music parties and events since 2012; and moonlights as a vinyl-only DJ spinning jazz, hip- hop and funk with a focus on Australian and Asian records.
