For the third instalment of The Calile Hotel’s Rooftop Harvest event series, James Street’s Ada Lane will welcome top chefs from its glitzy Brisbane neighbourhood for a one-off dinner under the stars.
Popping up in the laneway on 24 February for just 100 guests, the dinner will host chefs from leading venues including SK Steak & Oyster, Hellenika, sAme sAme, Biànca, Cru Bar, The Standard Market Company and The Calile Hotel itself.

“Inviting our local culinary network of chefs, sommeliers and tastemakers to collaborate on the menu is a very special first for us,” said The Calile’s co-owner, Catherine Malouf. “The evening honours the James Street culinary community, and reflects our shared approach to provenance, sustainability and the connection we share to each other and our environment through food.”
The Rooftop Harvest event series (launched in 2025 by the World’s 50 Best Hotels number-34 property), celebrates seasonal food, culinary innovation and boundary-pushing good concepts inspired by its significant rooftop garden plots. The February event will be co-hosted by internationally recognised environmental tech company Sea Forest, which works with isolating Tasmanian Asparagopsis seaweed compounds to create cattle feed supplements that reduce emissions associated with beef and dairy production. The degustation menu will feature premium beef and dairy produced with Sea Forest’s product, and profits from the event will support its work in climate change research and restoring Tasmanian kelp forests.
Tickets are $450 and include a five-course dinner (plus dessert and cheese) with matched wines. Additionally, The Calile Hotel’s Stay and Donate program will collect funds for SeaForest throughout the month of February.
