Where the Year of the Snake was all about slowing down and shedding what no longer fits, the Year of the Horse is characterised by fast-paced energy, forward movement and a spirit of action.

Whether you’re after a chic gift to bring to a celebration with friends and family or looking to treat yourself to a little something for an auspicious year of health and wealth, these are the Lunar New Year releases we’re coveting right now. From Chinese-inspired sweet treats to designer mahjong sets, here are the items we’re adding to cart.

Koko Black’s Lunar New Year range

Chocolatier Koko Black is taking gifting to new heights with its Lunar New Year range, available in stores and online from 20 January to 17 February.

Its 48-piece Lunar Lantern is back with nine layers of pralines – including a new Sichuan Pepper flavour – wrapped in gold foil to symbolise wealth and prosperity.

Not only is nine considered a lucky number in Chinese culture, but the lantern is designed to be repurposed as a decorative piece to light up those New Year celebrations. Plus, receive complimentary hóng bāo (red envelopes) with your Lunar New Year purchases.

Haigh’s Chocolates Lunar New Year gifts

In a similar vein, Haigh’s Chocolates have brought out a Lunar New Year gift range, starring new, exclusive flavours like Milk Matcha and Peppermint Fudge. The chocolates are available for purchase as a loose chocolate or within the Milk and Dark Selection boxes.

Wrapped in red and gold, the design features a spirited horse adorned with plum blossoms for vitality, speed and perseverance.

The loved Milk Yuzu Block will also return for the Year of the Horse, along with the Milk and Dark Macadamias Gift Box, Milk and Dark Tablets, and Chocolate Baubles Gift Bag.

The collection is available from 9 February across all Haigh’s stores and online.

Oribe’s Hair Alchemy Liter Set

Designed in collaboration with Australian-Chinese artist, Chris Chun, the limited-edition Hair Alchemy gift set is formulated to strengthen hair and create the ultimate protection for smooth, resilient hair in 2026.

The Fire Horse design uses striking gold outlines and auspicious reds to evoke prosperity, strength and elegance.

The set includes a Hair Alchemy Resilience Shampoo (1L) and a Hair Alchemy Resilience Conditioner (1L).

Silky Laundry’s Year of the Fire Horse collection

The ready-to-wear luxury clothing brand’s interpretation of 2026’s Fire Horse has no doubt delivered the wardrobe workhorse you need. Comprising of simple red or black silk staples – a pair of silk slacks, a relaxed blazer or a bias cut cami, perhaps – the capsule culminates in the brand’s signature black silk slip dress with Year of the Horse artwork. Wild horses gallop beneath a red sun, celebrating strength and forward motion for the New Year.

Dior’s limited-edition Rouge Dior lipstick

Playing on the auspiciousness of red, Dior’s limited-edition Rouge Dior lipsticks offer another way to wear the colour this Lunar New Year.

The Rouge Dior lipstick delivers a bold, matte finish, while lip care formula leaves lips feeling soft and smooth.

101-year-old French kitchenware brand Le Creuset is marking the 2026 Lunar New Year with its first-ever Lunar New Year collection. The Carousel collection splashes horse motifs onto bright red glossy glazes, making it ideal for tablescaping this New Year.

The range includes stoneware plates, bowls, dishes and soup spoons made for pairing with traditional banquet items like prosperity toss salads and longevity noodles. Wrapped in crimson ribbon and gold foiling, it makes for the perfect Lunar New Year gift – if only to yourself.

Burberry’s Year of the Horse collection

Burberry takes its iconic wardrobe staples and imbues them with subtle horse designs for their Lunar New Year capsule. Signature A-line trenches come with detachable wool-blend warmers with red stripes and the Equestrian Knight design, while the horse motif stars more prominently in other accessories like red scarves, a quilted horseshoe chain pouch bag and studded hoop earrings.
